Continuous Professional Development (CPD)

Improving education, training, and knowledge exchange of professionals, as well as ensuring quality in service delivery, are ISPO strategic priorities and constitute main pillars of focus and activity of the society.

Continuous Professional Development (CPD) describes learning activities geared at professionals who aim to develop and enhance their abilities. ISPO's CPD activities enable learning to become conscious and proactive, and can combine many different methodologies; such as, training workshops, conferences, events, e-learning programs, best practice techniques, and opportunities for sharing and collaboration.

The ISPO CPD Committee is streamlines CPD activities that the Society is already undertaking, and explores new activities that can be offered to the ISPO membership and community based on their needs and overall feasibility. The Committee’s aim is to deliver unique, relevant, and high-quality educational content in a consistent and professional manner to clearly identified target groups, and to ensure that this content is understood and retained.

The ISPO CPD committee aims to work on several projects which aid the learners in gaining knowledge and accessing updates on several topics related to P&O practice. Currently, the Committee is working on the following:

  • e-courses (to replace short courses)
  • Case study repository
  • Webinars
  • Recordings of previous webinars (both international and Member Society webinars)
  • Industry collaboration (technical educational recordings)
  • Collaboration with other NGOs
  • Collaboration on global initiatives related to P&O
