ISPO World Congress 2023 - Participation and Regional Grants
ISPO is pleased to be able to provide financial assistance to congress participants from developing countries through its participation and regional grants for the ISPO World Congress 2023.
In order to be considered for a grant, eligible applicants are required to follow the application process described below. Please be aware that only full congress participants (from 24-27 April 2023) are eligible to apply.

Regional grant
Status: Open until April 2023
Eligibility
Through regional grant ISPO will financially support its members from the Latin American region, who experience economic hardship with 20% on your applicable registration fee.
In order to apply, applicants must meet the following criteria (if you do not fulfil these requirements, your application will not be considered).
- Be an ISPO member in good standing
- Be a native of and a resident of a Latin American country
The table below outlines the early bird and regular registration fees by income group in US dollars (USD).
Application process
To apply for a regional grant, please complete the online application form.
During the application process, you will be asked for the following:
- Your ISPO membership number;
- An electronic copy of your passport or identity card (PDF, JPG);
- Proof of faculty position or graduation status from a current ISPO accredited training facility (if applicable);
- Title of your abstract and submission number (if applicable).
Scoring
Submissions will be reviewed by an ISPO Selection Committee. Applicants will receive points based on the following scoring criteria:
Notification and grant implementation:
All successful candidates will be notified of acceptance within two weeks of the application. Candidates will then have 2 weeks to register for the ISPO World Congress 2023.

Eligibility
Through participation grant ISPO will cover travel and/or accommodation costs as well as the congress registration fee for any successful applicants.
In order to be eligible to apply, applicants must meet the following criteria (if you do not fulfil these requirements, your application will not be considered).
- Be a native of and resident in a “Low Income Country”, “Lower Middle Income Country” or “Upper Middle Income Country” as outlined in the World Bank list of economies (please check the status of your country in the World Bank list of economies here).
- Be a member in good standing of ISPO.
Please note that expatriates working for foreign aid organizations, manufacturers, etc. are not eligible. Moreover, please be aware that priority consideration will be given to ISPO World Congress 2023 presenters.
Application process
To apply for a participation grant, please complete the online application form by 20 of November 2022.
During the application process, you will be asked for the following:
- An explanation of why the financial support is needed, what you would plan to achieve through the attendance at the ISPO World Congress, and how you would apply the knowledge gathered during the event back home ( max. 500 words);
- Your ISPO membership number;
- Electronic copy of your passport or identity card (PDF, JPG);
- Proof of faculty position or graduation status from a current ISPO accredited training facility (if applicable);
- Title of your abstract and submission number (if applicable).
Scoring
Submissions will be reviewed by an ISPO Selection Committee. Applicants will receive points based on the following scoring criteria:
Notification and grant implementation
ISPO will only be able to support a limited amount of candidates. All successful candidates that have been selected to receive support will receive an official notification from the ISPO Head Office on Wednesday, 09 of December 2022. Successful candidates will then have 2 weeks to register for the ISPO World Congress 2023.
