Regional Collaboration

ISPO encourages collaboration at regional or bilateral level. ISPO Member Societies may work together via a twinning approach, and in some regions, ISPO Member Societies are collaborating closely together in regional initiatives.

The following following regional initiatives are currently in place:

African Federation of Orthopaedic Technicians (FATO)

ISPO has signed a collaboration agreement with FATO to join efforts and build synergies with the aim to promote and ensure that an increasing number of people in Africa have access to appropriate rehabilitation services and mobility devices. As part of this collaboration, ISPO and FATO have agreed to offer a dual membership at a reduced rate to its members.

ISPO Asia

ISPO Asia is a collaboration among ISPO Member Societies in Asia. The regional group has been formed in 2018 with the aim to promote communication and facilitate regional cooperation in the areas of educational and professional development, service enhancements and research studies.

Uniting Frontiers

Uniendo Fronteras (Uniting Frontiers) is the regional collaboration of ISPO Member Societies in Central America. Aimed at promoting continuing professional education to stimulate improved services in the field of prosthetic and orthotic rehabilitation, the group has been organising conferences and publishing a journal since over then years.
