ISPO Accredited Training Programmes

Mobility India is well placed in the region to conduct training from certificate to master level programme. MI has a history of 26 years in teaching, training and rehabilitation services for a range of stakeholders in the rehabilitation sector. It runs government-accredited undergraduate and post-graduate academic programs in Prosthetics & Orthotics, a 1-year certificate course in Rehabilitation Therapy (refer to the link below to the Prospectus), besides various accredited workshops in continuing rehabilitation education aimed to benefit rehabilitation professionals in academic, government and private practice. MI has its own full-fledged fully accessible centre with both physical and online infrastructure to undertake online and offline teaching and training. The recent restrictions on account of Covid19 were an additional reason to adopt its curricula to the online mode, although MI has been doing training work online since 2017 in its projects.

MI and its team of faculties have worked in the South East Asia region including Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam. We are thus fairly familiar with the Regional context of South and South-East Asia. The MI academic team members of Prosthetist & Orthotist, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist & Assistive devices user and support executives have domain knowledge, cross-cultural experience and multi-disciplinary expertise in training for groups from policymakers to grassroots frontline workers. The team has rich experience of at least two decades in the use of iterative processes to develop and refine training packages and methodology and a deep understanding of processes and service delivery of AT products. MI’s approach has always been participatory and inclusive and sensitive to concerns of gender.

With the continued academic guidance and monitoring by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) and International Society of Prosthetics and Orthotics (ISPO) which has accorded its affiliation to this programme.
